Cost-Saving Tips
Try to have your content finalized when you place your order. Extensive
revisions after the initial proof will increase your cost. If you
have a particular layout in mind, please bring a sketch for us to
follow.
Technical Tips
Almost always, "jpeg" and "gif" images grabbed
from the Web are low resolution and therefore unacceptable for printing.
For best results, all images should be submitted at a minimum resolution
of 150dpi. Ideally, images that need to be printed should be output
at a resolution of 300dpi (although there are exceptions). Images
that will be presented for digital output (Web, onscreen) are the
exceptions. Usually, a resolution of 72dpi will work well for these
purposes.
We prefer to create and edit print files with InDesign. If you
have a request for editing a Quark or PageMaker file, please call
ahead. Our other primary graphic design software programs include
Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
