File Transfer – Sending files to us over
the network (Windows XP)
1. These instructions apply to Windows XP.
* Go to My Network Places and add a network place.
* Enter this ftp address in the Address box and then press Next:
ftp://144.92.159.25
* You will get a message asking if you want to log on anonymously.
Uncheck this box and instead type the user name: dropoff. Click
on Next.
* Type whatever name you want for this network place.
* Click Finish.
* Soon a Log On As window will appear with the User name already
entered, but requiring you to enter a password into a blank box. Type
dropoff for the password as well. Press the Log On button.
2. When a window appears with folders in it, double-click Transfer.
3. Double-click Drop. The next window should
appear empty except for a message, "Warning: permission denied".
This is okay. Drag the
file(s) you are submitting into the Drop folder's window. You
cannot place a folder in this window, so you will need to drag
the separate files.
4. Make sure you have contacted the Media Solutions staff person
you are working with, so that they know you are submitting files.
