Carol Dizack – Senior Graphic Designer/Medical
Illustrator, 262-6993; cldizack@wisc.edu

General – was born
in Milwaukee, moved to Madison in 1969 to attend the UW, fell in
love with the city, and have lived here ever since. While in college,
I worked at the university as an Art History Aide, Ceramic Assistant,
and Media Specialist. I began in the Medical Illustration Department
in 1973 as a graphic artist but soon took the position of illustrator
in the Department of Neurophysiology (1975-94). Presently, I am
a Senior Graphic Designer and Medical /Scientiific Illustrator,
having returned to the Medical Illustration Department (known now
as Media Solutions), now with over 30 years of experience. I also
manage the Media Solutions division at the Medical Sciences Center.
Education – BS - Fine
Arts (Art History minor) UW-Madison, 1973; Commercial Art Degree
MATC-Madison (WI), 1988.
Special Interests/Personal
– Passion for Native American culture and history; an avid
collector of their exquisite contemporary artwork. I enjoy traveling
and camping throughout US and Canada, captivated by the sights and
sounds of nature, while interspersing visits to nearby cities during
these sojourns, to gaze in their museums and galleries. Love to
spend time near mountains and rivers, canyons and waterfalls, glaciers
and rainforests, and the Southwest desert in bloom.
